While I am always on a
quest to find THE perfect piece of vintage china for my next creation, today's
new china patterns are really stepping up to the plate. I have fallen in love (not
hard for me to do) with Wedgwood's Butterfly Bloom pattern. I try to stay true
to my vintage china pieces, but I could not resist the urge to create something
with Wedgwood's whimsical line of china.
This is my second tea
stand that I have used one of the Butterfly Bloom plates. This one is called the Bijou
Vintage China Dessert Tea Stand. Bijou is French for small and delicate. I
couldn't find a more suitable name for this one. I used a vintage Paragon
saucer for the top tier. The marriage of old and new is a happy one. This two-tier stand
may be one of my smaller stands, but it still packs a punch!
P.S. Check out the blinged out handle!
